As a reminder to politicians to “Keep the Promise” on funding for HIV/AIDS programs and other social causes, Ernest and AHF created the “Keep the Promise/Jam For a Cause” event in Cleveland as a precursor to the Republican National Convention. Even though AHF is a non-partisan organization, they felt it was important that a message be sent to leaders of the party.The talent for this event that Ernest booked were: The Roots, Gospel group, Mary Mary, R&B singers Raheem DeVaughn & Teyana Taylor, football legend Jim Brown, Dr. Cornel West & Soledad O’Brien.
